Client Challenge
A medical device manufacturer faced a critical challenge when preparing to re-launch their product. The primary concern centred on how patients would adapt to changes in the logistics and medical management of the re-launched device. The client needed a strategic approach that would anticipate and address potential barriers while ensuring the new launch strategy was informed by real-world expertise and genuinely considerate of patient needs.
Our Approach
Pi Healthcare organised and managed a set of Advisory Groups to support the client's strategic development. We implemented a rigorous analytical process to hand-select and convene world-leading experts, including both clinicians and non-clinicians whose diverse perspectives would benefit the client's planning. We created structured opportunities for these experts to network, share insights, and collaborate on real-world solutions that would minimise patient disruption.
Our in-house media team hosted and recorded all sessions, producing convenient on-demand resources for client teams to access during their planning exercises. This comprehensive approach ensured that expert guidance was captured, documented, synthesised, and easily accessible throughout the project timeline.
Key Outcomes
The Advisory Group delivered tangible strategic value through multiple outputs. We produced a comprehensive report summarising key findings and actionable recommendations that pre-empted potential barriers to a successful re-launch and identified how to mitigate them. These insights informed the client’s strategic response and aligned closely with project objectives within an accelerated timeline.
The practical format of our deliverables enabled the client to refine and implement a robust re-launch strategy, while supporting clear communication across internal teams to maximise cross-functional alignment. The client reported that this was a valuable time- and cost-efficient exercise, helping them exceed expectations and champion a patient-centred approach during a critical pre-re-launch phase.
